This Anime Stalker Russian Roulette Game Is Afraid AI Copycats Will Steal Its Ideas
Developers have dealt with copycat games for many years, but generative AI has made it easier than ever to whip up a clone, and that problem has grown in recent years. The developer behind Drunken Goddess Reflux is aware of this, and out of fear that its anime Russian roulette game could be the victim of a cash-grab imitation, it has announced that it has canceled its upcoming public demo. Instead, Alliance Arts will hold closed online play sessions for a limited number of players. https://youtu.be/SRFDW2Pm9nk "We sincerely apologize for the short notice to everyone who was looking forward to it," the developer wrote online . "We're concerned that the demo's content could be used to quickly imitate or replicate the game's presentation and gameplay with AI or other tools, and that such works could be released before our launch." Alliance Arts is also concerned that it can't properly manage restrictions on posting and streaming content from the game, and it'll instead hand out demo keys and collect feedback for the game through its group Discord. The studio's fears aren't unwarranted, with the upcoming Needle in a Haystack being a prime example of Steam's copycat problem. After the g

Stalker 2’s first expansion officially revealed, and it's taking us to the power plant where it all began
Stalker 2’s first add-on isn’t far off, and it may just be the thing to bring you back to post-apocalyptic Chornobyl in 2026. One of the biggest reveals out of today’s Xbox Partner Preview showcase has been the new Stalker 2 expansion. The developer did tease some sort of announcement ahead of the event, but I don’t think an expansion was on many of our bingo cards.

9 Near-Perfect 'Far Side' Comics Starring the Nerdy Kid
One of Gary Larson’s sorta-kinda recurring characters One of the biggest differences between The Far Side and most other comic strips is that The Far Side doesn’t have a recurring cast of characters. Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, for example, had Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Snoopy, and the rest of the gang, while Jim Davis’ Garfield has Garfield, Odie, Jon, and a handful of other recurring characters. But Gary Larson’s The Far Side, with its non-sequitur, single-panel jokes, didn’t have regular characters, or at least not really.

Vincent Price Is the Weirdest Serial Killer Ever in this '70s Cult Classic
A hooded figure emerges slowly from the floor of a cavernous art-deco space — supposedly the hallway of his house, although it looks like a theater stage. He dramatically plays an organ mounted on a hydraulic platform. The organ is flanked by a sinister clockwork jazz band with papier-mâché heads. The hooded figure sets the band in motion and a beautiful young woman appears in a fantastical white gown. The pair dance together in courtly fashion. Then they go and murder a guy by lowering a cage full of ravenous bats into his bedroom through a skylight. The bats eat the man alive. The woman and the hooded man return home and he plays his organ again, sinking slowly into the floor. We are 10 minutes into The Abominable Dr. Phibes, and nobody has spoken a word. Robert Fuest’s 1971 horror film is a surreal, kitsch, and intentionally funny murder-museum of a movie. But it's also dreamlike and deeply strange in a way that lingers after you've watched it.
